Ed
has been involved in some form of real estate business for over 30
years. Having retired with Hutchinson & Co. with over twenty years
experience. Ed is a Licensed Certified General Appraiser and
co-owns and operates EST Enterprises, a real estate service company
which places emphasis on consultation, appraisal valuation, new home
construction, and residential development promotion and management.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture
Economics from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He has served on
the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri as well as President
of the Board in 1990. Ed is a lifetime member of the MIZZOU Alumni
Association and a member of the University of Missouri Jefferson Club
and a member of the University of Missouri College of Agriculture Food
and Natural Resources Monticello Society.
Ed is active in may organizations and holds positions
at the State and National level with the Missouri Association of
Realtors (MAR) and National Association of Realtors (NAR). Having
been a Charter Member of the Appraisers Section of MAR and representing
them at the National Association of Realtors Convention as well as
serving on the NAR Appraisers Section Board of Directors. Through
his experience in these two organizations Ed brings a wealth of
knowledge in the appraisal industry to EST Realty.
Ed also serves the State of Missouri as a member of
the Commission on the Future of Higher Education. This commission
is made up of members throughout the State of Missouri and is charged
with identifying ways in increase the number of Missourians prepared to
pursue training and education after high school, including technical,
community college, and college or university education; increasing the
number of high school students who enroll in and complete such programs;
enhance the affordability of post-secondary education for students from
families in all income levels; and increase the civic and economic
benefits of advanced education for individuals, their families,
communities, and the State of Missouri.
Ed also is very active in many community and civic
organizations as well. He has served in many capacities within the
Chillicothe Industrial Development Corporation including President.
He also has served on the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce Board of
Directors also serving as President. Ed has been very active with
several civic bond issues for the betterment of the Chillicothe
community as well as Chairman of the Capital Campaign for the Grand
River Area YMCA.
